EastOC district assignments

The Oklahoma Secondary Schools Activities Association met on Aug. 8 and ratified district football assignments for the 2008-2009 season. The recommendations came from coaches representatives for each classification.
Moore's third highschool, Southmoore, will begin operation as a Class 6A school and will be in district 6A-1 with Del City.
After two years of playing teams from the West, Choctaw will be sent to the East again, in 6A-4, along with Stillwater, U. S. Grant and Yukon.
Christian Heritage of Del City will begin its first year in the OSSAA in District A-3, which also includes Luther.
EastOC District Assignments for 2008-09 include:
6A-1: *Del City, Edmond Sante Fe, Lawton, Moore, Mustang, Norman North, Putnam North, Southmoore.
6A-2: Edmond Memorial, Edmond North, Lawton Eisenhower, *Midwest City, Norman, Putnam City, Putnam West, Westmoore.
6A-4: *Choctaw, Enid, Owasso, Ponca City, Stillwater, Tulsa Union, U. S. Grant, Yukon.
5A-2: Ardmore, Capitol Hill, *Carl Albert, Durant, Guthrie, *Harrah, Noble, Shawnee.
4A-2: Cleveland, Cushing, Glenpool, Mannford, *McLoud, Seminole, *Star-Spencer, Tecumseh.
2A-2: Bridge Creek, Crooked Oak, *Jones, Little Axe, Millwood, St. Mary's, Oklahoma Centennial, Washington.
A-3: Cashion, *Christian Heritage, Crescent, *Luther, Minco, Oklahoma Christian School, Thomas, Watonga, Wellston.
