When Midwest City Outlaw catcher Chad Carman played at Carl Albert High School, he consistently came up with clutch hits.

In his third year with the Outlaws, he continues to do the same.

Tuesday night in a home battle with Stillwater at Rose State College, Carman drove in five runs to lead Post 170 to an 11-5 conquest.

Carman doubled home Jordan Price in the fourth inning, jacked a three-run home run in the sixth and added a run-scoring single in the seventh frame of the nine-inning game.

Midwest City jumped out with a four-run burst in the first inning as Derek Glenn led off with a solo shot to left.

Price then tripled and came home on JT Realmuto’s team-leading 42nd RBI.

Calyn Young was the winning pitcher moving to 5-2 while surrendering just a pair of hits. Justin Freer (3 Ks) and Stephen Henderson (4 Ks) split relief work.

After defeating Stillwater Tuesday, the Outlaws won three more games at home on Wednesday and Thursday to improve to 25-10.

On Wednesday, Post 170 bombarded Edmond Memorial’s AAA team 23-1 and then downed the Edmond Travelers 8-1.

Midwest City bombed out 20 hits in a five-inning run-rule of Memorial. Cody Ferrell and Price each collected three hits while Ferrell drove home four runs and Price a pair.

Outlaw Jim Miner also chalked up four RBIs which included a homer in the second inning.

Evan Green went the distance for the win on the bump striking out four and scattering five base hits.

Brennan Murphy upped his personal record to 3-1 giving up just three hits in six innings in the victory over the Travelers. He whiffed nine batters.

Carman led the way again in the batter’s box going 3-for-4 while Josh Balch (2-for-4) swatted a couple of doubles and Glenn came in at 2-for-3.

Thursday night Midwest City erased a 4-0 deficit to plunder Moore, 13-5.

Moore tallied four runs in the top of the first but the Outlaws matched it in their half of the inning.

Glenn drew a free pass and came home on Ferrell’s three-bagger and Ferrell came home on a hit by Realmuto.

Price, who had walked prior to Realmuto’s run-scoring single, scored along with Realmuto on Josh Balch’s double.

Midwest City took the lead in the second, scored a couple in the third and plated an additional six runs in the fourth with half of them coming on Murphy’s pinch-hit three-run dinger.

Miner (2-2) was the winner with six Ks allowing just two earned runs.

Post 170 played Edmond Santa Fe Saturday night and will face Moore this morning at 9 o’clock. The Outlaws will take on the Topeka Stars (Kan.) tonight and will play Spivey’s and Lubbock (Texas) on Monday and Tuesday nights respectively.

The finals will take place Wednesday, July 2 at Rose State College.
