Fred Anthony Goode
Fred Anthony Goode, 54, of Midwest City passed away July 8, 2007 in Midwest City. Funeral services were 10:30 a.m. July 12 at Family Life Assembly of God In Nicoma Park. Burial took place at Jones IOOF Cemetery in Jones. The family invited visitors to Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Family Life Assembly of God Scholarship Fund. Services were under the direction of Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home in Midwest City. He was born Aug. 11, 1952, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Fred and Edwinna Goode. After retiring from Locke Supply, he attended Mid-America University where he was pursuing a life in ministry. He was a church board member at Family Life Assembly of God. He was a dedicated and loving family man, compassionate friend, skillful gardener, avid reader, lover of the outdoors and baseball and a spirit-filled believer. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Lauren; a son and a daughter, Patrick and Allison; a granddaughter; his parents, Fred and Edwinna; four loving sisters, Brenda, Debby, Teresa and Donna; a brother, Phillip; and many extended family members. His family would like to thank Hospice of Oklahoma County.
Robert L. Arstingstall
Surrounded by his loving family, Robert L. Arstingstall died peacefully June 20, 2007. Funeral services were 2 p.m. June 23 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Graveside services followed at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 700 N. Air Depot, Midwest City, OK, 73110, or the Boy Scouts of America, Last Frontier Council, 3031 N.W. 64th St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73116. He was a decorated World War II veteran, B-17 and B-29 Pilot, awarded the Bronze Service Star, Silver Star, Distinguished Flying Cross and Air Medal with three Oak Leaf Clusters. He retired after 37 years of civil service. Mr. Arstingstall was a lifelong member of the Boy Scouts of America receiving the Silver Beaver and the Lamb Award. He was a 55-year active member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He was preceded in death by his son, George; his parents, Robert and Ada; his brother, Claude; and a sister, Janet. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Lucile; a sister, Ruth of Dayton, Ohio; children Judith and husband Gary of Corpus Christi, Texas, John and wife Andrea of Perry, Joyce of Oklahoma City, Karen and husband John of Bethany, Donna of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and many dear friends.
Gary L. Hammon
Gary L. Hammon, 61, passed away July 11, 2007. Funeral services were 10 a.m. July 14 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Arlington Memory Gardens. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Northeast. He was born Sept. 26, 1945, in Harrah, to Earl L. Hammon and Lorene Jack Hammon Ogee. He worked for 28 years for Mack Trucks and one year for Transportation Resource. He loved hunting and fishing and most of all he loved his family. He is survived by his wife, Ginger Hammon; a son, Scott Hammon and wife Michelle; a daughter, April Waugh; a brother, Tom Hammon and wife Linda; a brother-in-law, Ed Colquitt; and three grandchildren.
