Charles ‘Chuck’ Gallion III

Charles “Chuck” Gallion III, 69, of Midwest City, died Jan. 13, 2007. Graveside services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday at Resthaven Memorial Park in Oklahoma City. Services were under the direction of Ford Funeral Service. He was born Nov. 14, 1937, in Roff, Okla., the son of Charles and Lottie House Booth. His parents preceded him in death. Mr. Gallion loved to hunt and fish. He is survived by his daughter, Vicki Wiley of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Pat Booth and husband Bill of Midwest City; a brother and his wife, Jim and Lou Gallion of Elmore City; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four nephews; three nieces; and many other relatives and friends.



Laurel Leah Wollard

Laurel Leah Wollard, 79, of Midwest City, died Jan. 27, 2007. Memorial services were held 2 p.m. Jan. 31, 2007, at Bill Eisenhour N.E. Chapel. She was born Oct. 13, 1927, in Albert Lee, Minn. She was involved in civil service.



Mary Eula (Wrany) van Ess

Mary Eula (Wrany) van Ess, 92, died at home Feb. 13, 2007. Private services were held under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah. A guest book is available at www.smithparks.com. She was born in Harrah Feb. 8, 1915, the daughter of Edward Wenzel and Dott (Oliver) Wrany. She graduated from Harrah High School in 1932. She completed her bachelor’s degrees at Central State Teachers College in Edmond. She earned a master’s degree in music education at Columbia University Teachers College in New York City. She taught vocal music five years at Central State in Edmond, three years at Grinnell College in Iowa and two years at the American Grammar and High School, Belgrano, Buenos Aires, Argentina. She and Bill van Ess were married at St. Saviours’ Church in Belgrano, Buenos Aires Jan. 18, 1947, and lived 27 years in New York. Mrs. van Ess was the Placement Director and Vocational Advisor at Juilliard School of Music for 16 years and Executive Assistant at the Metropolitan Opera National Council for six years. From 1974 until their retirement in 1981, she and her husband were co-managers of Econo Lodge in Wytheville, Va. She was a member of the choir at St. John’s Episcopal Church, where Bill was organist and choir director. She also served as a substitute teacher at Scott Memorial and Spiller Primary Schools in Wytheville, Va. She was preceded in death by her husband. In the summer of 2006, she moved to Norman to live with her niece, Lynette Wrany, who cared for her until her death. Mary is survived by her sister, Irene Wrany Loban; her nieces, Lynette Wrany, Marcia Wrany Quiroz and Lelia Loban Lee; her nephews, Alan Wrany and Larry Loban; six grand-nieces and grand-nephews and two great-great-nieces.



Sam Monroe Parker

Sam Monroe Parker, 86, of Del City, passed away Feb. 14, 2007. Services were under Bill Eisenhour S.E. Funeral Home. He was born Nov. 12, 1920, in Richey, Miss., to Lewis and Maudell Parker. He enlisted in the Army Corps of Engineers in November 1941 and re-enlisted in the Air Force in February 1946. Sam served in the European Theater of Operations during World War II, including action in Europe, Labrador and Morocco. He retired from the Air Force in July 1962 then worked as a warehouse supervisor for Wyeth Company. Mr. Parker was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Patricia; great-grandson, Brandon Simmons; and his siblings, Violet, Bill, Etah and Sally. He is survived by his sister, Alice Bailey of Carrolton, Miss.; a son, Dennis Parker and wife Cindy; a daughter, Donna Warstler and husband Terry; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many others.



David E. Barber

David Barber was born Dec. 21, 1944, in Jefferson City, Mo., and passed away Feb. 16, 2007, at his home in Choctaw. Rosary services were 6 p.m. Feb. 19 at Bill Eisenhour N.E. Chapel. Funeral Mass was 10 a.m. Feb. 20, 2007, at Our Lady of Fatima Nicoma Park. Burial followed at Jones IOOF Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour N.E. Funeral Home. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam. Dave married his wife Cathy (Pebble) July 17, 1976. Mr. Barber showed Appaloosa horses and was a race car enthusiast. He was a district sales manager for Commercial Body Inc. for more than 20 years and a member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Nicoma Park and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Cathy; a daughter, Deena Moore and husband Allen; a granddaughter, Savannah; a daughter, Dawn Barber and fiancé Mark Ciarlone; two sisters Leanna and Emily Indall; and numerous others.



Peggy Singer

Peggy Singer, 68, of Midwest City, died Feb. 16, 2007, at her home. A prayer service was 7 p.m. Feb. 18, 2007, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Funeral services were 10 a.m. Feb. 19 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church. Burial was at Arlington Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in her honor to St. Philip Neri Catholic Church for a new organ. Services were under the direction of Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home. She was born Aug. 9, 1938, in Pryor, to Marvin and Gladys Panter. She was a member of St. Philip Neri Church and the Midwest City Garden Club, Canterbury Choral Society, PEO and several bridge clubs. Peggy did volunteer work at the Oklahoma City Civic Center. She was an accomplished musician who taught piano lessons for more than 20 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Gladys Panter. She is survived by her husband, Dick; four daughters, Teri Dowds of Oklahoma City, Marcia Larkin of Indianapolis, Ind., Kimberley Sare and husband Jeff of Danbury, Conn., and Stacy Singer of Denver, Colo.; two sons, Michael Singer and wife Denise of Myrtle Beach, S.C., and David Singer and wife Amy of Exton, Pa.; and five grandchildren.



Aubrey Joe ‘A. J.’ Lollis

Aubrey Joe “A. J.” Lollis, 70, of Harrah, died Feb. 17, 2007, in Harrah. Services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Mr. Jim Mitchell officiated. Burial followed at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah. Services were under the direction of Smith~Parks Funeral Service in Harrah. A guest book is available at www.smithparks.com. He was born March 4, 1936, in Kingston. He was the son of Joe Cephus and Lucy Joan (O’Steen) Lollis-Blevins. He attended Murray State College on a football scholarship but played basketball. He served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked as a systems technician for Southwestern Bell, AT&T and in communications for Oklahoma. He attended the Harrah Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two sisters, LaTrelle Lambert and Letha Purser. He is survived by his wife, Cyrilla Lollis of Harrah; a son, Kurt Alan Lollis and wife Tamara of Harrah; a daughter, Karla Jo Jackson of Harrah; a sister, Peggy Copeland of Ardmore; a half-sister, Helen Dickerson of Willis; six grandchildren; and many others.



Jacob W. Crabbe

Jacob W. Crabbe, 27, of Edmond, died Feb. 18, 2007, in Oklahoma City. Services were held at 10 a.m. today in Candlewood Chapel at Ford Funeral Service. Burial was 3 p.m. at Ft. Cobb. He was born March 13, 1979, in Lawton, the son of Don and Diane Crabbe. He loved all sports. He is survived by his mother, Diane Crabbe of Edmond; his father, Don Crabbe and wife Patty of Cabot, Ark.; three sisters, Kelli and Kristal Crabbe, both of Edmond and Kara Crabbe of Cabot, Ark.; a niece, Brooklyn; his grandparents, Del and Modena Brownback of Ft. Cobb, JoAnn Crabbe of Minco and Phillip and Ann Morris of Seminole; and many others. Jacob was preceded in death by two brothers, John Del and Barry Don Crabbe; and his grandfather, J. C. Crabbe.
