Diane Mary Bailey

Diane Mary Bailey, 62, of Canadian and formerly of Spencer, passed away Jan. 17, 2007. She was born to Edward H. and Vera E. (Oppenheim) Kramer March 9, 1944, in Gulfport, Miss. She moved from Spencer to Canadian in April 2003. She was very much involved with the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and American Legion where she met countless friends and touched the hearts of many. She was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies’ Auxiliary. She is survived by a daughter, Stacy Bohlke and husband Clyde of Cedar City, Utah; a grandson, Cody Bohlke and wife Alxis; a great-grandson; a brother, Brian C. Kramer and family of Aurora, Colo.; her companion, Ron Kelley; and special friends, Jodi Miller and Ronnie Burleson. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Johnnie Bailey. Funeral services were held Jan. 22 at the Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel.She was buried at Arlington Cemetery Mausoleum.



Lendon Cleo McGaugh

Lendon Cleo McGaugh, 83, of Midwest City, passed away Jan. 18, 2007. He was born to Earl R. and Martha M. (Sherrill) McGaugh Dec. 5, 1923, in Waldron, Ark. McGaugh was a Navy and Army veteran, retiring from the Army after 22 years of service. He served during the World War II and Korean and Vietnam conflicts. He was a meat inspector for the State of Oklahoma. He came to Midwest City in 1968, previously living in Boston, Mass. He is survived by two sons, Mike and Rob McGaugh, both of Edmond; five grandchildren, Angel, Kevin, Misty, Scott and Brian McGaugh; and three brothers, Earl Wayne of Wichita, Kan., Hervey of St. Joe, Mo., and Robert of Waldron, Ark. He was preceded in death by parents; an infant son, Lawrence; his wife, Wilma Louise; two sisters; and three brothers. Funeral services were held Jan. 24 at the Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial took place at Kolb Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Barnes & Johnson Funeral Home.



Jennings “Lee” Evans

Jennings “Lee” Evans, 49, of Midwest City, died Jan. 21, 2007. He was born Feb. 18, 1957, in Tallahassee, Fla., to Albert and Dorothy Lee (Nelson) Evans. Before retiring in December 2003, he was a self-employed roofer and a cook at Murphy’s Steak House in Bartlesville. He was a member of Caney Valley Corvette Club. He enjoyed vacationing in Michigan, music and his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Lanie; two sons, Michael Evans and wife Talin and Rick Evans; two grandchildren, Gabriella Rayne and Owen Michael; a brother, Jim Evans and wife Olga; and a sister, Judy Denmark. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Betty Lou Wilhelm; and a niece, Betty Jo Wilhelm. Services are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. A memorial service was held Jan. 25 at Jones United Methodist Church.



Barbara “Barbie” Diann Norman

Barbara Diann Norman, known also as “Barbie” and “Barbara Doll” and to most as “Barb” was born July 24, 1964, in Midwest City. She passed away Jan. 24, 2007. She worked as an actress and model, along with taking her place as Ms. Budweiser and representing Oklahoma in the Ms. American Woman Pageant of 1992. She was a beautiful, caring, honest and glamorous woman. Her hobbies were interior decorating, writing poetry and music, and painting artwork and murals. She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry Don Jennings; and her stepfather, Jerry Lee Whiteman. She is survived by her husband of 13 years, Geaffery Norman; three daughters, Sara Payne, Mikayla and Annamae Norman; two grandchildren, Summer Payne and Shane Keihl — her “Punky” and “Cutsie Tootsie Grandson;” her grandmother, Mae Ross; her mother, Ruth Whiteman; three brothers, Larry, Jerry and Jimmy Jennings; two sisters, Reda Barnes and Doreen Rupert; and numerous nieces and nephews. Services were held Saturday at Choctaw Road Baptist Church. She was laid to rest in Meeker at Rossville Cemetery.



James Curtis Fletcher

James Curtis Fletcher, 57, of Midwest City, passed away Jan. 25, 2007, at St. Anthony Hospital. He was born April 21, 1949, in Oklahoma City, to James Leo and Geraldine Ruth (Sivley) Fletcher. James married Paula Whatley June 21, 1997, in Choctaw. He worked for Solaways in Oklahoma City for 25 years and Auto Zone in Midwest City. He enjoyed playing darts and pool, working crossword puzzles, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed playing the guitar in his bands, Sapphire Rose and Natchez. Fletcher is survived by his wife, Paula; his mother, Geraldine Fletcher of Oklahoma City; two stepsons, Shawn Whatley and wife Jennifer of Paoli, and Brent Whatley and wife Gillian of Edmond; three grandchildren, Blake, Noah and Gabby Whatley; a sister, Charlotte Evans of Midwest City; two brothers, Gary Fletcher of Midwest City and Max Fletcher of Mustang; mother-in-law, Geraldine Boomer of Moore; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Fletcher; and a stepson, Troy Whatley. Funeral services were held Jan. 29 at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home Chapel. Burial took place at Jones IOOF Cemetery in Jones.



Janice Marie Spell

Janice Marie Spell, 61, of Moore, died Jan. 25. 2007 in Oklahoma City. She was born March 1, 1945, in Idabel, the daughter of Roland and Mary Lee Crim Dawley. She graduated from Stigler High School where she played basketball and the sax in the marching band. She enjoyed reading, camping and gardening. She was an OU fan and a Dallas Cowboy fan. She is survived by her parents, Roland and Mary Lee Dawley of Stigler; four children, Sharletta McLaughlin of Moore, Tonya Marti of Chuckey, Tenn., Darsha Cubstead of Choctaw, and Matt Spell of Oklahoma City; and seven grandchildren. Services were held Monday at the Brookwood Baptist Church. Burial took place at the City of Moore Cemetery. Services were conducted by Ford Funeral Service,



Myrtis L. Steven

Myrtis L. Steven passed away Jan. 25, 2007. She was born July 22, 1924, in Kosciusko, Miss., and moved to Blanchard. After graduation, she moved to Oklahoma City where she worked at Tinker Air Force Base. She retired after 27 years and resided in Del City for more than 40 years. She is survived by four children, Kelley Hooper, Susie Davenport, Ron Goen and Sandra Davison; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Francis Gendron; and a brother, Bobby Cagle. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church. Graveside services were held Tuesday at Blanchard Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour S.E.



Linda Jo Lee

Linda Jo Lee, 60, of Del City, passed away Jan. 26, 2007. She was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Stigler, Okla., to Leonard and Aleta (Eacret) Coble. Linda is survived by her husband, Willard; her mother, Aleta Coble; daughters, Sherry Montgomery and Angela Satterfield and husband Robert; four sisters, Shirley and husband Dan Pipkins, Gina and husband Don Honeycutt, Barbara Campbell and Betty and Harold Kennedy; brother, Jerry Coble; six grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Gene Lee, Jimmy Lee and Maridee Flowers, their children and grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members and friends. Linda was preceded in death by her father, Leonard Coble. Services were held Monday at Del City First Church of the Nazarene. Burial took place Tuesday at Garland Cemetery in Stigler. Services were under the direction of Caskets Inc.



Dale G. Lewis

Dale G. Lewis, 90, of Choctaw, passed away Jan. 26, 2007. He was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Hollis to Henry and Sina (Robinson) Lewis. He was married to Mildred Orene Trammel in 1938, near Hollis, until she passed away in 1974. In 1975, he married Frieda (Roan) Ross in Pampa, Texas, where they lived until her death in 1998. He graduated with a bachelor’s in biology in secondary education in 1928 from Southwestern College in Weatherford. He worked for Ron Schools as a teacher, principal and coach. He then worked for Phillips Petroleum from 1944 until he retired as a Field Superintendent in 1981. He served as an elder at Well’s Street Church of Christ, in Pampa, for many years before moving to Oklahoma, where he has been an active member of the Sooner East Church of Christ. He was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Mildred; his wife of 23 years, Frieda; his parents, Henry and Sina Lewis; and a brother, Nevel Lewis. He is survived by a son, Dr. Larry J. Lewis and wife Barbara of Choctaw; and eight grandchildren. Services were held Tuesday at Sooner East Church of Christ in Midwest City. Burial takes place at 1 p.m. today at Fairview Cemetery in Pampa, Texas. Services were under the direction of Ford Funeral Service.



Emily Jean (Satoe) Treaster

Emily Jean (Satoe) Treaster passed away Jan. 28, 2007. She was born in Mountain View, Okla., Dec. 21, 1945, the daughter of Theodore and Pauline Spottedhorse Satoe. She attended Del City High School and earned her GED. She was retired from Tinker Air Force Base. She was a proud member of the Kiowa Tribe. She was a member of and baptized at Central Indian Baptist Church. She also held membership with American Legion Post 170 and VFW Post 7192. She enjoyed reading, watching OU games, going to the lake, but most of all she loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father; two sisters, Karen Suzanne Satoe and Beverly Ann Tonips; her husband of 25 years, David Ray Treaster; a son, Roy David Treaster. She is survived by three sons, Richard Lee Kiser of Kentucky, Steven Ray Treaster of Oklahoma City, and William Jason Treaster of Midwest City; two daughters, Daeton Paulette Jobe and husband Kerry and Toni Jean Culpepper and husband Steve; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; four brothers; five sisters; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and a special friend, Ron Williams. A prayer service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Bill Eisenhour Northeast Chapel. Burial will take place at Arlington Memory Gardens. Services are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour N.E. Funeral Home.



Wanda Carol (Brewer) English

Wanda Carol (Brewer) English passed away Jan. 25, 2007, after a long battle with rheumatoid arthritis and lupus. She was born in Ada July 31, 1932, to Mr. and Mrs. S.W. “Curly” Dodson. She attended Shawnee High School and was a member of the band. She graduated in May 1950 and then attended Neff Business College in Shawnee. In 1952, she married Ray Brewer and had two sons and a daughter. She coached the girls’ softball team for several years and followed her children in football, wrestling and baseball. In 1970, she went to work at OU Health Science Center. In 1973, she met and married James English and moved to Nicoma Park. A talented artist, she loved to paint, sew and crochet. She also made many quilts and afghans. She was an avid gardener and had many plants in her yard and greenhouse. She is survived by her husband, James; a sister, Juanita Waxelman of Cassville, Mo.; three children, Kenneth R. Brewer and wife Bobbie of Choctaw, Carol A. Modisette and husband Rick of Choctaw and Douglas L. Brewer and wife Heidi of El Paso, Texas; eight grandchildren; and a great-grandson, Garrett Wright. Services were held Monday at Arlington Memory Garden Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lupus Foundation of Oklahoma City. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour N.E. Funeral Home.
