Beulah Elizabeth (Galloway) Wagoner
Beulah Elizabeth (Galloway) Wagoner, 93, passed away Jan. 15, 2007, in Edmond. She was born Feb. 22, 1913, to Everet and Luvada Johnson in Meeker. Beulah resided near Meeker until she moved to Edmond in 1963. Beulah and Walter Galloway were married Feb. 13, 1930. Walter preceded her in death in 1974. After being widowed several years, she married Ernest Wagoner, of Edmond, in 1983. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest; her parents; her sisters, Bessie Reed and Marie Flowers; and her brother, Loyd Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Ada Helms and her husband Bob, of Checotah, Thelma Spencer and her husband Clary, of Jones, and Barbara Del Rio, of Edmond; her sons, Richard Galloway and his wife Jan, of Bentonville, Ark., Jim Wagoner and his wife Nancy, of Moore, Joe Wagoner and his wife Rochelle, of Edmond; and Lon Wagoner, of Guthrie; 12 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; sisters, Edna Flowers of Shawnee, Nona and husband Mack Galloway of Meeker, and Clyde Johnson and his wife Faye; sisters-in-law, Edith Johnson of Jones, Pauline Flowers of Jones, and Jean Steele of Oklahoma City; her brother-in-law, Johnnie Flowers of Meeker; and a host of other relatives and friends. Wagoner was a homemaker and lived near Meeker and was a member of Morning Star Baptist Church. After moving to Edmond, she became a member of Henderson Hills Baptist Church. Beulah loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and she will always be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother. A funeral service was held Thursday at Morning Star Baptist Church. Burial took place afterwards at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Northeast Funeral Home.
Jo Ann Finchum
Jo Ann Finchum, 68, of Newalla, passed away Jan. 14, 2007, at her residence. She was born to Cecil Madale and Leenora (Cummings) Henderson Jan. 11, 1939, in Newalla. She was a homemaker. She is survived by four daughters, Terrie Clark of Nicoma Park, Barbara Puckett and husband Phil of Edmond, Lena Arnold and husband Wesley of Tecumseh and Cheryl Hoppis and husband Johnny of Choctaw; 11 grandchildren; a great-grandson, Jackson Cash Womack; a sister, Lena Faye Withrow; and a brother, Tommy Henderson. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jack H. Finchum; and a brother, Horace Henderson. Funeral services were held Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of Choctaw. Burial took place at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla. Services were under the direction of Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home.
Sandra R. Moore
Sandra R. Moore, 59, of Moore, passed away Jan. 14, 2007. She was born Aug. 23, 1947, in Kansas City, Kan., to Ezra and Beulah (Storms) Fast. She married Wandal James Moore Dec. 16, 1980. She earned a bachelor’s from Oklahoma Christian College and a master’s from Central State University. She taught at Soldier Creek, Barnes and Sooner Rose Elementary Schools in Midwest City. She played the viola and piano, enjoyed drawing and writing poetry and was a student of the Bible. She is survived by her husband, Jim, of Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services were held Friday at Ridgecrest Church of Christ with a graveside service at Old Mission Cemetery, Wichita, Kan. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour S.E.
Earl “Jack” Witt
Earl “Jack” Witt, 86, died Jan. 15, 2007, in Oklahoma City. He was born Dec. 8, 1920, in Swearingen, Texas, to Robert and Louise Witt. In April 1949, he moved from Oklahoma City to Del City where he resided for 49 years. Jack married his wife of 54 years, Lois, in Oklahoma City March 3, 1938. His wife preceded him in death, along with a son, Robert; and a daughter, Sharon. He is survived by a two daughters, Ann Evenson and her husband John of Del City and Kimberly Witt; three sons, Earl Dudley Witt and wife Jane of Oklahoma City and Sam Witt and wife Donna of Lone Grove; a brother, Virgil Witt of Oklahoma City; a sister, Dorothy Wright of Tulsa; 30 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and 17 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. A funeral service was held Friday at Word Aflame Ministries, 9029 East Reno, in Midwest City. Burial followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour S.E.
Wanda B. (Talley) Wright
Wanda (Talley) Wright, 86, passed away Jan. 15, 2007, in the Midwest City Regional Medical Center. The daughter of the late Balford Talley and Virginia Mae (Gideon) Talley, she was born June 28, 1920, in Drumright. She was one of 11 children and graduated from Drumright High School. She was married to A.L. “Ab” Wright Jan. 11, 1940 in Shamrock. She was a longtime member of the Del City Christian Church. She enjoyed cooking and most of all spending time with her grandchildren and family. She was preceded in death by her parents, six sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ab of Del City; a son, Terry Wright and his wife Kathy of Woodridge, Ill.; two daughters, Jeannine Dickerson and her husband John of Del City, and Sharon Jefferson of Del City; a brother, Jack Talley, of Houston, Texas; 10 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends to numerous to name. Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Jan. 19, 2007, in the Palmer Marler Funeral Home Chapel in Cushing. The Rev. Ted Uhlig officiated. Burial was at the Flynn Cemetery in Cushing. Timothy Ellis Huff
Timothy Ellis Huff, 39, passed away Jan. 16, 2007. His kids were the love of his life. He is survived by three children, Beth, Heather and Cody; two grandchildren, Nicholas and Montana Rayne; his father, Thomas; and brother, David. He was preceded in death by his mother, Bettie Huff. Funeral services were held Friday at Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Burial took place at Elmwood Cemetery in Choctaw. Services were under the direction of Bill Eisenhour S.E.
Beverly Jeanne Watson
Beverly Jeanne Watson, 44, passed away Jan. 16, 2007. She was a graduate of Midwest City High School and was attending Rose State College working on an A.S. Degree in Health Information Technology. She was on the Dean’s Honor Roll with a 4.0 GPA. Beverly was a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America. She was a leader of the Girl Scouts for eight years. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crafts and sewing. Her house was always open to anybody. She thought of others more than herself. You could always count on her, especially if you were lost. She made the Best Kool-Aid ever — the “Red Kind.” She is survived by two daughters, Shayna Watson and Lainey Watson; one grandson, Marqus Burkett; parents, Margie Ashmore and Robert Newbury; one sister, Lillie Petillo and husband Keith; one brother, William F. “Billy” Ashmore Jr. and wife Andrea; two nieces, Crystal and Amber-Dawn; two nephews, Matthew and Joesef; and many more family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, William Franklin Ashmore.
