Oct. 23- Boo Bash will take place from 7 - 9 p.m., at the Nick Harroz Community Center, 200 N. Midwest Blvd. This event is for Midwest City students in fourth and fifth grade.

Oct.23-24; Oct. 30-31- The Choctaw fire fighters will frighten teens and adults in the Haunted Forest, open from dusk until 11 p.m. Cost is $5 and hay rides are $1. The Choctaw Public Recreationg Board will host the Haunted Trails from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. The “little tykes” Haunted Trail has “trick or treat” stations in which the children will receive treats and trinkets and maybe even a little scare here and there.

The cost is $1 per child. A costume contest will be held on Saturday nite, October 31st at 6pm.

Oct. 25- Midwest City First Christian Church is hosting a Halo-Ween Party at 5 p.m.

Oct. 26- The 26th annual Haunt the Zoo for Halloween runs Monday, Oct. 26 through Saturday, Oct. 31 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. nightly rain or shine. Admission for Haunt the Zoo is $6 per child for tickets pre-purchased from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. through October 31. Or, $7 per child for tickets purchased during the event. Discount coupons for $1 off event admission are available (while supplies last) at all metro-area Kohl’s stores. Admission includes an official treat bag. Accompanying adults, 18 years of age or older are admitted free. Stroller rental will be available. Haunt the Zoo is a special event that requires separate admission–ZooFriends memberships do not apply.

Oct. 27- No tricks, just treats at the Del City Library, 4509 SE 15th Street. Children ages 4 to 8 can come to the library at 6:30 p.m. for a spooktacular storytime with Halloween themed stories. Children can wear costumes and join the Annual Monster March at the end of the storytime.

Oct. 29- Harrah High School PTA will host a community fall festival from 5-8 p.m.

Oct. 31- Wickline United Methodist Church is hosting a Community Fall Fling/Trunk or Treat event from 5-7 p.m. This event is free to the public. The south parking lot will be lined with decorated cars. Children are invited to trick or treat at each decorated “trunk.” There will also be games of all kinds including prizes, with hot chocolate, hot apple cider and cookies being served. Wickline UMC is located at 417 Mid America Blvd, just across the street south of Jarman Middle School.

Oct. 31- Trick or treat in the park at Harrah Heritage Park from 5-8 p.m. A costume contest will be held at 6 p.m. Cake walks, face painting, hair spray, coloring and other activities will be available.

Oct. 31-Midwest City’s Trick or Treat City will be held from 2 - 4:30 p.m. at the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park.

Oct. 31- Octoberfest at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church from 4-6 p.m. in the Family Life Center, 700 N. Air Depot.

Oct. 31- Children ages 6-11 are invited to wear their costumes and join the fun at 2 p.m. at the Del City Library. The library is at 4509 SE 15th Street.



Pumpkin patches:

• The Eastpointe Community Church, located at 6801 S. Anderson Rd. in holding its seventh annual pumpkin patch this year. The patch is open until Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday. On Sunday, the patch is open from 2-8 p.m. All proceeds go toward “Coats for Kids” Project. For more information, call 737-4447.

• The Choctaw United Methodist Church will be having the fifth annual Pumpkin Fest from 1-4 p.m. There will be games, food, and free pumpkins for children. The church is located to the north of Choctaw Road and 10th street.

• The Midwest City St. Matthew’s United Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch is open from 9 a.m. – 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and Noon – 8 p.m. on Sundays through Oct. 31. During the patch, children will be able to pick out that perfect pumpkin for painting, carving or decorating. Pumpkins range in price from $.50 for mini pumpkins to $30 for the largest pumpkins. The patch will also feature storytelling times, during which individuals, schools, and daycares are invited to listen as volunteers read favorite stories to the children. Reservations can be made by contacting the church at (405) 732-6831.
