Some of Midwest City’s trash routes will be changing to new service days

Some residents of Midwest City who have their trash collected on Fridays will be switching to a new day of week, depending on where they live. The switch will take place on Aug. 5.

“The reason for the route change is due to the residential growth of the eastern part of our city limits,” William Janacek said in a release. Janacek is Midwest City’s Director of Environmental Services.

While the switch does not affect every citizen who is usually serviced on Fridays, a number of residents will have to adjust to pushing their polly cart out on a different day.

These residences will have their trash pick-up moved to Tuesdays:

Melody Drive, Waltz Way, Serenade Drive, Symphony Lane, Harmony Drive (9045 to 9400), Rhythm Road (9516-1812), Lullaby Lane, Lyric Lane (9300 to 9400), Angela Drive, Finley Drive, Oak Avenue, Fairfield Green Condos, South Timberview Drive East, Timberview Drive, North Timberview Drive, Village Oak Drive, Parkway MHP, Edgewood MHP, S.E. 29 Street. (9000 to 10921), Douglas Boulevard (2900 to 100) S.E. 6 Street (9000 to 9024), S.E. 4 Street (9000 to 9024).

In addition to these locations, all streets within the Orchard, Olde Towne and Woodland additions will have their trash service moved to Tuesday, instead of Friday.
