Truck rolls onto ledge

It’s unknown at this time what caused the vehicle to go into a slide, but the loss of control resulted in the truck rolling twice before coming to stop on top of a retaining wall.

The collision occurred Wednesday at 12:36 p.m. on I-35 northbound at S.E. 15 Street in Oklahoma City.

The vehicle was a 2002 Chevrolet pickup driven by 27-year-old Sheveanna Berry of Del City. Also in the truck with Berry was her 4-year-old daughter Eleigha Harrington, who was in a child restraint device.

Berry, who was not wearing her seat belt, was ejected approximately 15-feet from the vehicle. She was transported to OU Medical Center by EMSA. She was admitted in critical condition with head and internal injuries.

Harrington, Berry’s daughter, was treated for minor leg injuries before being released.
