Girl’s search for missing car leads to fall from bridge

By Aaron Wright, editor
The Sun

A 17-year old female fell from the North Canadian River Bridge Tuesday morning while searching for her car.

She had been drinking at a nearby home and had fallen asleep. When she woke up, she found her car missing and went to look for it about 12:40 a.m. While on a bridge, the female said she saw vehicles driving towards her and decided to jump for safety, underestimating the height of the bridge, said Mark Myers, Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson. Fishermen in the area heard her cries for help and called 911. Her boyfriend, Joshua McCaulley, 19, was arrested on a driving under the influence complaint when he came to the scene looking for his girlfriend and driving her car.

Deputies cited Otis Lynch, 25, with a misdemeanor for providing alcohol to the underage teens.
